ITINERARY
Spiritual Pilgrimage to Palenque, Bonampak, Yaxchillan, Miso Ha Falls and Agua Azul Falls
March 17-26, 2010
NOTE . . . We do not plan the spiritual aspects of a trip in advance as we understand spirit moves in the moment. But based on prior trips, rest assured that there will be a lot of meditation time, teachings, channelings and ceremonies . . . as spirit guides us through-out the pilgrimage. We hope this helps you decide the adventure that is right for you. On a 3D level, this is where we will be each day
March 17 - You arrange your flights into Villahermosa. We will pick you up when you arrive and take you to a very comfortable hotel in Villahermosa, Hotel Maya Tabasco, for the night (no meals included).
March 18 - Enjoy a Beautiful Yucatan Breakfast. After group introductions and tearful reunions, we will pack up our bags and begin our journey through the Chiapas to Palenque and check in at our hotel.
We will have a peaceful afternoon introduction by passing through old Palenque with its sacred water falls. 5PM - Evening workshop with Dr. Ed Barnhart on the Sacred Geometry of Palenque. 7PM - Dinner.
After dinner, we will spend the night surrounded by amazing mystical Mayan jungles in a comfortable retreat hotel near Palenque's sacred city. (BD)
March 19 - 7AM - Enjoy a Beautiful Yucatan Breakfast. 8AM - Tour of Palenque with Ed, Enrique and Aluna Joy. 5PM - Evening workshop with Ed Barnhart on Solar Alignments of Palenque. 7PM - Dinner (BD)
March 20 - 7AM - Breakfast. EQUINOX SOLAR WAVE - We will have all morning at the site of Palenque with ceremony with Enrique and Aluna Joy. We hope to get permission to go to the lost temple of Palenque.
Your afternoon will be free to wander and meditate in this heavenly site. Once back at our hotel, we will have time for a swim in a lagoon-like pool with light blue, warm bath water. It is amazing! 7PM - Dinner.

March 21 - After a great Jungle Breakfast, we will take an amazing bus and boat ride through monkey and parrot filled jungles to the mystical site of Yaxchillan. It is paradise that no words can express.

March 22 - After yet another great Jungle Breakfast, we again bus through the jungles to visit the site of Bonampak. This site has many ancient, Mayan Murals still intact that tell a puzzling story . . .
that is until you hear the Star Elders' story that was revealed about this site! Swim, dinner and over night back at our Palenque hotel (possible private sessions with Aluna Joy and Raphael) (BD)
March 23 - After breakfast, we head out really early to go to the amazing Agua Azul Falls. Be prepared to swim in paradise. Bring a swim suit, towel and sun block. The healing waters of Agua Azul anchor
and heal us in such a beautiful way that I cannot do it justice with words. You will just have to trust me on this one. After lunch, we will bus to Misol Ha for a little time with magical waterfalls and huge
Grandfather trees. 7PM - Dinner (possible private sessions with Aluna Joy and Raphael) (BD)
March 24 - 7AM - Breakfast. 8AM - We never want to leave Palenque, so after a day of integration in the sacred waters, we go back to this heavenly city of light to bond and connect even deeper into the peace

March 25 - Breakfast. Bus back into the outer world of illusions . . . and Villahermosa. We temper the shift of energy by visiting La Venta's Olmec Botanical Museum to commune with the ancient Olmec and the
Star Elders who taught them in an amazing garden setting. It is a good time to integrate and ease back into the outside world. Farewell dinner in a private room at Villahermosa's Maya Tabasco.

March 26 - Transfers to flights home.

Interesting Palenque Trivia
Palenque is alined with solstices, equinoxes, eclipses and zenith passages of the sun, as well it being built with advanced sacred geometry.
What does a royal Mayan tomb in Palenque Mexico have to do with space aliens? In 1949, Mexican archaeologist Alberto Ruiz Lhullier discovered a staircase plunging into the heart of the pyramid supporting the Temple of Inscriptions at Palenque in Mexico's Chiapas state. After three years of excavating, he reached the burial chamber. It contained a 20-ton stone coffin with a wonderfully carved lid. Inside was the skeleton of a Mayan ruler, heaped with jade. In 1968, Swiss author Erich von Däniken published his bestseller Chariots of the Gods, which claimed that space aliens had visited the Earth in the remote past and helped create human civilizations. One of his pieces of evidence was the Palenque coffin lid. Von Däniken thought it showed an ancient astronaut, reclining in a couch, blasting off in a spaceship. Scholars began to get a handle on the meaning of Mayan hieroglyphics in the 1970s. They learned that the king buried in the pyramid was named Pacal , who reigned from A.D. 615 to 684. Today, most Maya experts believe the coffin lid shows a mythological scene in which Pacal is shown falling into the Mayan underworld in expectation of rebirth.

Hi Aluna, I just wanted to offer you my reflections of our magical Mayan Journey. The Maya lands radiated not only a very deep mystery but also a very warm friendliness. I appreciated all the thoughtfulness you put into organizing and preparing us for our remarkable journey. Your guide book is excellent and prepared us well, but no mention of Lizards in the bedrooms, thought a fun surprise. The Mayan travel pack, complete with calendars, special flower essences, and a magical Mayan Guide called Enrique, was a recipe for a royal journey, and it was!
Palenque has an atmosphere of other worldly timelessness and what a treat we received at Equinox as the howler monkeys sang their mantras at sunset; floating our consciousness to another level. How do you arrange it all? I really valued the experience of entering Palenque by the back trail; it is that kind of sensitivity that makes your journeys so special. The jungle restaurant is exceptionally good. Our group had such a special quality each one with their pearls of wisdom and I felt that we grounded some important energy at the equinox… a special thank you for treating us to a the ceremony of music of Kan'Nal on our finale evening, a unique close to a life-changing journey. The Maya have a sacred tree called the Wakah Chan, the tree of life, the world tree. It is called the La Ceiba (Say-ba) or the Kapok tree. It has sap that is red like blood, just like a human being. In the darker winter months, when the tree loses its leaves, it looks like the tree is upside down. Today you might feel that you are that upside down tree. Palenque, Yaxchillan & Bonampak is where the ancient starry ones lived Heaven on Earth. A Cosmic Messenger, Pacal Votan's energy still radiates from the Temple of Inscriptions. Many other Masters influence the energy of this area including the elder race we call the Star Elders or Invisible Council. Even Christ healed the sick and performed baptisms in the Queens falls when he visited during the "lost years". He learned from the Star Elders about cosmic time, and the Star Elders learned about the Heart and Peace. Their energy is still there, and so is their wisdom. Palenque is nothing less than pure magic and is still one of Aluna's favorite areas after traveling 2 decades in Central and South America.
THE STORY OF THE BUTTERFLY MAN
On our last day of our March 2008 Palenque pilgrimage, we took some time to visit Palenque's museum. Usually I'm not a person who enjoys museums, but this one is different. In the center of the museum, standing completely by itself, is the only living stone I know of in Palenque. It is odd because Palenque is not known for Stella. In fact, this is the only one. It does not look like anything else in Palenque either. I always knew it was a living stone, but up to this point, it never spoke to me. In year's past, I would stop to say hello and move on fully expecting to be ignored. However, just like everything else in Palenque which opened this year, this living stone was also ready to share.
As I stood near the Stella, I was very happy to hear his introduction. He said that he was the "Butterfly Man from Copan" (a Mayan site in Honduras). For awhile, this is all I could hear. But he was quite clear. He said "I AM the Butterfly Man from Copan." This was confusing because Copan is a long ways from Palenque.
This is the first time that I had ever heard about the existence of a Butterfly Man. His energy was quite different than I am used to translating. So it took some time for Butterfly Man and myself to build a bridge between our frequency differences. As we began to exchange energy, I began to see a pulsing, fluttering-like energy around my heart. I began to realize that this was what he was talking about . . . the butterfly was around my heart. So I asked what the butterfly heart was. He said that one side of the butterfly was the Earth, the other was the stars. When the Star Elders came to the Earth, one of their biggest challenges was to not become earthbound. By having an activated butterfly heart (a butterfly merkabah), each could live in this world and the starry world at the same time. With the butterfly heart, they could have the courage to come to the Earth, explore its beauty, and study its nature without concern about being forever Earthbound. It was his job to teach others how to activate their butterfly merkabah. It was also his job to set earthbound star seeds free from their limitations, so they could once again return to the stars if they so chose to.
Each in our group stood by the Butterfly Man to receive this teaching. We all were intrigued and wanted to reactivate our butterfly heart. It was a beautiful moment for us. We did catch the attention of a guard at the museum, but oddly enough, he left us alone as we stood there and meditated next to our new friend, the Butterfly Man. After our group returned home, a group member named Maria did a quick search on the internet for the "Maya Butterfly Man". I was so excited when I read her email, because what she discovered was so similar to what I was receiving from Butterfly Man directly that it was shocking. This is what she sent me:
Tzutujil Mayans in Guatemala speak of simultaneous Twin Realities: the world of dreams and the world of work. These worlds are likened to the opposing wings of a Butterfly: the dream world is one wing, and the awake world is the other. They believe the wings must connect at the Heart for the Butterfly to fly and live. Real life occurs because of the interaction of the wings. The Life is the Butterfly's Heart. Life, like the Butterfly's Heart, is kept alive by the two opposing, mirroring, twin like wings.
I feel like the dream world was what the Butterfly Man referred to as the stars, and the world of work is what the Butterfly Man referred to as the Earth. The living Mayas today are fully aware that written text that was re-recorded by Maya people after the conquest is not the complete truth. Much was lost during the dark times of the conquistadors. But yet it is exciting here to see how much has survived. If we can read these recorded texts with an open heart, knowing that it holds fragments of truth throughout, these words might help us discover more knowledge regarding our awakening and our mastery.
Then I found this text from The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra which stated . . . "Two chemicals called actin and myosin evolved eons ago to allow the muscles in insect and butterfly wings to contract and relax. Thus butterflies and insects learned to fly. When one of these paired molecules is absent, wings will grow but they cannot flap and are therefore useless. Today, the same two proteins are responsible for the beating of the human heart, and when one is absent, the person's heartbeat is inefficient and weak, ultimately leading to heart failure." He goes on to say "In our hearts, we feel the impulse to fly, to break free of boundaries. Isn't that the same impulse nature expressed when insects began to take flight?"

ENRIQUE ENCALADA - Enrique is a wonderful opened hearted blend of new age and Maya traditions.
When Enrique had his first contact with the Sacred Knowledge at the age of 15, the revelation of these truths changed his life, and he began to follow a sacred path which has lead him in amazing directions. In 1984, he was the assistant to the Mayan Gnostic Congress Of Atlantis in Merida, Mexico. In 1995, he participated in the Great Meeting of the Mayan Solar Initiation.  DR. ED BARNHART - Maya Exploration Center Director Dr. Ed Barnhart has over a decade of experience in Mesoamerica as an archaeologist, an explorer and an instructor. He has published over a dozen papers and given presentations at five international conferences. His involvement in Maya studies began in 1990 as an archaeological intern in the ruins of Copan, Honduras. The Palenque Mapping Project was a three-year effort to survey and map the unknown sections of Palenque's ruins. Over 1100 new structures were documented, bringing the site total to almost 1500. The resultant map has been celebrated as one of the most detailed and accurate ever made of a Maya ruin. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with his dissertation entitled The Palenque Mapping Project: Settlement Patterns and Urbanism in An Ancient Maya City.  RAPHAEL - It is a blessing to have Raphael as our resident Angel . . . group guardian and energy healer. He is an egoless and humble light worker. He has been involved with energy work the majority of his life and has studied a variety of healing energy modalities including QiGong, Quantum Touch, and Kahuna Ancient Rainbow Conscious Healing (ARCH). At least a third of our group was MIA for this photo. Most were out hugging pyramids and trees, and things like that. Palenque was amazing this year. It was pumping out immeasurable energy and LOVE. Paradise IS returning! PALENQUE GIVES YOUR HEART WINGS! That is why we go back so much.
